Human pincushion

OK, so first impressions of the endocrinology department at Anytown District General Hospital aren’t bad. The junior doctor appeared to actually pay attention to what I had to say and as well as writing up a blood form for a vast array of substances – from thyroid to most of the sex hormones – asked me to have another Oral Glucose Tolerance Test and a test to rule out Cushing’s, with an arrangement to review any findings with the head of the department (Dr J) in three months.
