OK, so the Indometacin trial was successful, so as far as the neurologist is concerned I have CPH and will need to take Indometacin indefinitely.

Dr E is quite happy with that, but I’m not.  Even if I didn’t have some doubts about the diagnosis, it only addresses one symptom.  Dr E offers to refer me back to Dr J, but after the last encounter, I really don’t think it is such a good idea to go back to Anytown’s endocrinology department.  Dr J seems to consider me a neurotic who doesn’t have the self-control to stop eating too much and I think he’s an arrogant fuckwit who can’t be bothered to listen to his patient’s opinions and concerns.  So Dr E offers to refer me instead to Anycity’s endocrinologists.  As I never really got round to asking for a second opinion after the last time I saw Dr J, I was happy to accept the referral.
